by Dr. Joe Vitale

Since you may be thinking the same thing, let me point out a few things:

1. Hypnosis never removes choice.

You can’t be made to do something under hypnosis that you didn’t already want to do while fully awake. For proof, just ask yourself if you buy everything I offer. Probably not. Yet I’m the father of Hypnotic Writing. Obviously, you used your power of choice to buy or not, despite any “hypnosis” in my marketing.

2. Hypnosis is not evil.

It is used by dentists, doctors, and psychologists to help people get more of what they want out of life. It’s been sanctioned by the American Medical Association since the 1950s. Anyone still thinking hypnosis is evil is caught up in a cultural myth, which is a kind of trance all by itself.

So what is hypnosis?

My definition of hypnosis is anything that holds your attention. A good movie, or book, is a type of hypnosis. So is a good sales letter, or sales pitch, or infomercial. I’m not talking about manipulating minds, I’m talking about entertaining them.

    * Britney Spears is pretty hypnotic. But not everyone buys her music. (I don’t.)

    * Dan Brown, author of “The Da Vinci Code”, is pretty hypnotic. But not everyone buys his books. (I don’t.)

    * Harry Potter has much of the world in a trance. But not everyone buys the books. (I don’t.)

Bottom-line: Hypnosis is just another tool. It does not control people and it does not give God-like powers to anyone. In marketing, it gives you an edge, but if you use it to try to sell a lousy product, it won’t help you at all.

Kevin Hogan, hypnosis trainer and author of several books, says, “Hypnosis makes life better in most every way. It gives a salesperson or marketer a decided advantage over the competition but not over the client.”

You want to learn hypnotic writing and hypnotic marketing because it helps you get and hold attention. It also makes you a much better communicator.

After all, if you aren’t getting attention, and you aren’t holding it, you aren’t doing any selling, are you?

by Leslie Cecil

Since quitting smoking is known to be difficult, many individuals end up trying to stop smoking with stop smoking aids. There are many stop smoking aids on the market, including the patch, the pill, nicotine gum, nicotine inhalers, and natural remedies.

When most people think about stop smoking aids, they think about the patch. The nicotine patch is a popular and well known stop smoking aid. It is available in most drugstores and was made with the intention of helping smokers quit smoking by lessening the discomfort they experience from withdrawal symptoms.

Since many smokers experience symptoms of withdrawal such as headaches, cravings, anxiety, nervousness, fatigue, and irritability, the patch tends to be very useful. Of course, smokers still experience cravings as well as some other symptoms, but the patch is known to help smokers tolerate their cravings for longer periods. Nevertheless, in order to be successful, an individual must use the patch every day for about three months. It is said that one in every five dedicated quitters will be able to stop smoking with the help of the patch. Still some people experience side effects from the patch, including skin irritation and trouble sleeping. Most people recommend that quitters start therapy along with the nicotine patch.

A popular and well known stop smoking aid is the pill, otherwise known as bupropion or Zyban. This prescription drug and antidepressant pill is actually for those individuals who are depressed. However, it has been proven that this pill also helps smokers trying to quit smoking by suppressing symptoms of withdrawal. In fact, some studies show that Zyban is twice as effective as a nicotine patch. In any case, it is easy to use and non-addictive. Side effects of Zyban include trouble sleeping and a dry mouth. It is certainly worth a try.

Some other options for stop smoking aids include nicotine inhalers and nicotine gum. Those who use nicotine gum find it helps you quit smoking because it occupies your mouth, so you do not feel the need for a cigarette. Many who have stopped smoking have ended up gaining weight as a result of eating more to compensate for not having a cigarette in the mouth. For those who are afraid to stop smoking because of the fear of weight gain, nicotine gum is useful. This will satisfy their cravings for nicotine during withdrawal from cigarettes. It is typically used for about three months.

Nicotine inhalers are stop smoking aids that allow smokers to take a nicotine dose whenever they feel it’s necessary. The inhaler imitates the nicotine effects of smoking, and helps make quitting smoking easier for those trying to stop smoking. Throat and mouth irritation are some of the side effects.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that no matter which stop smoking aids a person uses, they are only effective when the person is committed to quitting. Their effectiveness is determined by how dedicated a person is to stopping smoking. The only true way a smoker will be able to stop smoking is their own inner drive and motivation. While aids like patches, pills, gum, and inhalers that contain nicotine can help people quit, nothing will help a smoker stop for good except for their desire to stop smoking.

When you are looking for prosperity, for the ability to manifest financial success, health changes, personal growth, you may already have tried to alter your consciousness. You may have tried self-improvement, hypnosis, psychology, metaphysical and spiritual approaches.

Creating life changes by going to theta has been substantiated by a number of amazing scientists, healers, researchers, and other individuals, including people like Dr. Candace Pert, Dr. Bruce Lipton, and Dr. Gregg Braden. These changes happen with no intervention other than their connection to Source mind, while in the deep brain wave of theta.

We know that belief systems are real, and they can be changed. We have all heard the statement, change your thinking and change your life. We have seen people make amazing changes through skills like hypnosis, vision boards, and goal setting. But now, we are able to make changes in seconds. The One Command process has proven to be outstandingly easy to learn and easy to practice.

There are 6 basic steps to take us from beta thinking to theta brainwaves. Beta is the waking, working brain waves, and theta brain waves are the hypnogogic, healing states. In theta, you go directly to your greater capacity or Source mind where you can Command for prosperity, abundance, health and healing, a whole new life, instantly.

The individual becomes the “observer” who witnesses these amazing changes. The changes in Theta are real at all levels of our awareness, in the body, in the neuronet patterns of our thinking, and in the DNA itself.

It is easy to learn to go into the theta brain waves, simply learn The One Command. Theta is the place where you change your limiting beliefs, even those held at the core of your being, your genetic history, and at the soul level. You replace these old limiting beliefs and Command a new, energized life.

While in theta, all information that ever is, was, or will be, is available to you to download. The information comes from the Source, that greater consciousness and is transmitted directly to you. Through the One Command technique, you are in a place of incredible power, accessing all the knowledge of all time in moments.

Learn to reach theta through The One Command. Solve each and every problem in your life and heal yourself, find the personal power within you.

If you are someone who believes that making changes is difficult, for instance changing one’s eating habits, then you have been trying to change habits on the conscious level only rather then the subconscious level where habits are actually programmed. Traditional diets can work, you can lose weight healthfully and effectively and keep it off if you create these changes in your subconscious mind. When changes are made in the subconscious mind where your long-term memories, beliefs and perceptions are stored, you in turn make changes to your thought process. Change your thoughts and you change your life! That’s right, and as a result, you can actually change your behaviors and your reactions easily with little to no conscious effort on your part. “How can you do such a remarkable thing?” you may be asking. The answer is with hypnosis. A trained professional hypnotist can assist you in accessing your the powerful subconscious mind to help you make your desired changes.

Now I am sure that you have heard “if something is not working for you, change what you are doing.” Right? And surely you’ve heard “do what you’ve always done and get what you’ve always got”. Well that is exactly what is happening to most people who have been unable to lose weight effectively and keep it off. They have continued to do what they have always done and they continue to get what they’ve always gotten. Let’s make that statement even more specific “If you THINK what you’ve always THOUGHT, then you will get what you’ve always got.” It is in making the changes in that thinking process, in that belief and perception process, where hypnosis is extremely effective.

The process of hypnosis by-passes what is called the critical factor, the “line” between the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. Your conscious mind is your analytical, judgmental and critical area of your brain. Although it needs to operate this way for survival purposes and decision-making, it can also trip us up, getting in the way of our own progress and improvement. The conscious mind acts upon the beliefs that have been imprinted in our subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is the emotional, imaginative center of our brain that also stores our long-term memories.

It is estimated that 75% of our beliefs about ourselves have been imprinted into our subconscious by the age of 7. Therefore, the majority of our personality is determined by the time we are 7. (That puts a whole new twist to “acting like a child” doesn’t it.) This knowledge is useful for hypnosis age regression. In a hypnotic state an individual can mentally journey back into their past safely and objectively and look at the framework of beliefs that were established at a young age and then move forward bit by bit to review what other beliefs were established based on the original beliefs.

The vicious cycle of negative habits can be changed with hypnosis. During hypnotherapy the goal of the hypnotherapist is to put forth positive suggestions to your subconscious mind. You work together with your hypnotherapist to clarify what it is that you want for yourself and we put that in the most positive language possible and feed it to your subconscious mind. Once that new positive information is absorbed by the subconscious, your conscious mind can begin to act upon it. What the mind can perceive the mind can achieve! Are you ready to perceive thin and to achieve thin? Call Theresa Johnson, Certified Hypnotherapist for a FREE 30 minute consultation and discover how hypnosis can work for you.

Directed conversation is done to induce hypnosis in people. It is called a conversationally hypnosis. Yet, there is a difference between conventional hypnotism and conversational hypnosis. In the first one, there is an engagement between the hypnotist and the patient. The connection in this case is made directly as a casual interaction. It is so different from the other traditional lying-on-a-couch approach. The conversational hypnosis is appeared stronger and may be used successfully at dealing with some especial traumas. It is applied also, in difficult situations during the life.

Dialogue Hypnosis - the powerful interaction

The idea behind conversational hypnosis is interaction, wherein the hypnotist encourages the client to reach a state of altered perception regarding the problem or situation of discussion. In other words, a hypnotist will strive to ask questions or make statements that drive the client to rethink his situation or the problem at hand thereby allowing alternative solutions or thoughts to remedy the situation.

The following three steps are summarizing the process:

1. Affinity: initially, the hypnotist ought to gain the trust of the patient by listening to him and showing sympathy. As an example, if the patient was afraid of crowds and tries all his best to overcome it, the hypnotist ought to facilitate the situation and showing his understanding. He ought to see the situation exactly through the eyes of his patient.

2. Distraction: the second step is to distract the mind of the patient. He must submit some questions to let the patient more aware of the things. As an example, “If you are a sole human on the Earth, how it will be like?” The question, simply, refers to a world free of crowds, the same thing, his patient is eager to. The aim of that is to give the chance to the patient to let his mind goes behind his problem, and open the way to other thoughts flowing into his mind, including the solution of that problem.

3. Proposition - Once the client has considered other thoughts that are related to his problem (but not he problem itself) the hypnotist is free to introduce propositions to help the client deal with his situation. He may conclude his conversational hypnosis session with the crowd-fearing client by suggesting what the future might look like if he chooses to be more friendly to people. Conversely he may describe what might happen should the client cut himself off from people entirely.

Hypnosis’s conversation - a way without a train

Conversational hypnosis is about helping someone arrive at a certain conclusion and making positive decisions based in what he can visualize. It is a “getting-there” act that works only if the hypnotist and client are equally engaged. The discourse is the train ride, so to speak. The techniques involved are merely the elements in making progress possible.

A person trying to quit smoking normally faces many challenges. One of the things to consider is what to do if a spouse continues to smoke while you are trying to quit. You must think about how to manage situations when you would normally smoke. Don’t be hesitant to tell your family and friends about your plans to quit smoking so that they can encourage your efforts.

When someone makes the decision to quit smoking it would be beneficial for them to check out nicotine medication. Such medication gives smokers a way to gradually ease off nicotine that is much less concentrated than that found in cigarettes. Smoking cessation aids can be quite effective. In fact, nicotine medication is recommended by the American Lung Association as a treatment for kicking the habit. Usually, these types of medication require a prescription by a doctor. But people who want to quit smoking should consider all their options and do their research about nicotine gums and patches.

Once you stop smoking, it is normal to go through a period of nicotine withdrawal. Symptoms of withdrawal include headaches, increased appetite and cravings, anxiety, and nervousness. Be aware that these are all normal parts of withdrawal and are usually addressed with whatever stop smoking program you select.

Problems associated with nicotine withdrawal can be helped with the aide of nicotine medication or nicotine gum. But a smoker who wants to quit smoking should completely avoid smoking, not even just one cigarette, while undergoing stop smoking programs. Friends and family can also be a huge source of support.

Most smokers attempting to quit go through two to four attempts to quit. Obviously, quitting smoking is not easy. However, just because it didn’t work last time around doesn’t mean that you can’t quit smoking. It is important to really want to quit and be dedicated toward quitting. It is also important to try different medications each time. For instance, if the first time you tried to quit, you used nicotine patches, then maybe the next time you should try nicotine gum. The most important thing, though, is that you be dedicated and really want to quit smoking.

There are many stop smoking programs that can make it easier for you to quit smoking. The best programs are usually the ones involving nicotine gum, patches, or medication. But of course the most important thing to remember when trying to quit smoking is that you need to be dedicated toward your ultimate goal.

Feelings of fatigue, irritibility and an extremely persistent headache are all side effects of nicotine withdrawal and are all perfectly normal. Why? Simply because it is in the first 72 hours which nicotine purges itself from your system - regardless of the smoking cessation method you have chosen to use.

Preparation is the key. By knowing what you are in for, you can make plans to deal with the feelings and symptoms and not have to hide away where you won’t bother anyone. However it is also a good idea to inform your family and friends (but only if they are supportive) of your goals. This also gives them the opportunity to stay clear if they think you might be a little bit cranky!

Keep in mind, that by making plans in advance on how you are going to handle these symptoms, it can really help if they present themselves. What are you going to feel? What are the symptoms of withdrawal? You may want to include these things on your list:

Agitated or angry: Find something to do to take your mind off things. In solitude is probably best.

Feeling overly emotional or sensitive: I will find a few moments for myself.

Feeling tired: I will allow myself to take a nap or lounge around for the day.

Feeling nauseated: I will drink a glass of water (helps with nausea, as do apples and ginger).

After eating, I will: Read to keep my mind occupied so I don’t crave the ‘after-dinner’ smoke.

A really good way to help your body get rid of the nicotine within it is to drink lots of liquids. The more you drink, the faster your body will metabolize the stored nicotine within your system and the only side effect of this is a slouchy stomach and maybe a few more trips to the bathroom. The faster you can get the nicotine flushed out of your system, the sooner the withdrawal symptoms will be over, at least the physical ones.

A few things can make the withdrawal symptoms stronger rather than weaker. Caffeine may be one of those. But not for all people. Every situation is unique. Best to judge for yourself. If you are finding that caffeinated drinks are causing you cravings, you should cut down drastically or quit altogether.

However, giving up multiple vices at once can also be very stressful. So be wary and maybe just cut back on the caffeine to start. But be sure to use plenty of water, juices and even milkshakes to kick start your system and get those withdrawal symptoms out of the way.

A very common side effect during the first few nights is finding it difficult to fall asleep and then to sleep soundly. Even though you might’ve been exhausted throughout the day, when it’s time for bed it seems like everything is racing through your mind and you can’t get comfortable.

Taking a nice hot shower or a soothing bath, just prior to going to bed can be very helpful and can help you become relaxed enough to fall asleep. Normally, this will only last one or two nights at the most, but if it becomes persistent, you may want to consider taking an over-the-counter sleep aid for a night or two. Your sleeplessness won’t last for long.

Finding a support system that works for you is crucial in becoming a non-smoker. It needn’t be a lonely, isolated journey which you take by yourself. Whether it be via an online forum, local church group, or through family and friends (excercise caution here), the key is to find people to help you in times of strife.

There’s several free online message boards on the Internet that those with limited time may find to be a valuable option. It will help you connect with other people who are trying to stop smoking as well; it’ll give you a place to talk about your withdrawal symptoms or other challenges that you are facing with your new lifestyle.

Once you have found a message board you like, dig down and you will probably find that it is broken down into differing areas that correspond to the stage of quitting that you are currently in. And as I’ve said before, even though you think your particular situation is unique, you will most likely find that others before have encountered the exact same situation.

As mentioned above, be cautious when enlisting the help of friends and family, because at times, even when they think they are being helpful, they can irritate you or even push you towards a relapse by pestering you about your trials and tribulations of quitting.

So to deal with the excess inquiries of your family and friends, it is wise to inform them with withdrawal symptoms, naturally you may become more easily agitated and that their constant questioning could be a detriment to your success. It’s best to have this conversation with them before you quit to help ease matters later on.

One other option is a local smoking cessation meeting that is usually held at a community church, health care center, or sometime even a school. Most of these groups meetings are held either at no cost or very low cost, so everyone can attend.

They are often about an hour or two long, where you get to meet with others who were going through the same thing that you are. One of the advantages of this type of support system is that you have face to face contact and can develop relationships with your group members. Having a buddy to quit smoking with, or call upon, if you’re feeling like you’re going to have a relapse can assist you in remaining a non-smoker.

So before your quit day, be sure to decide on which method or methods of support you are going to use AND then use them! Of all the tools in the quitting smoker’s toolbox, support is the most effective of all, so be sure that this is where your quest begins.

Today you’re going to do those badly needed repairs to your roof. You start by putting all your tools and supplies together. You do this before you climb up the ladder onto the roof. You do this because you do not want to take that long trip to the top and discover you did not have all of the necessary tools at your disposal. Nobody wants to start a task from the beginning again.

What does this have to do with stop smoking? Well the answer is very simple- tools. You want to improve you quality of life, get rid of that bad breath and improve your appearance. You want to feel confident when you speak to people. But most of all you want to improve your health. You need the proper tools to repair yourself the same as you do to repair your automobile.

Where do I start? The common approach for most people is the patch, while others favor herbal products. Some experts believe a combination of more than one tool will increase a person’s odds of quitting. Along with medicines are services available to assist with the smoking cessation process. You’ll want to put as many tools in your toolbox that you can.

If this is your goal and you are ready to quit smoking, preparing your own toolbox will begin the process of quitting smoking. No toolbox is complete without a journal. You should consider adding journaling into the toolbox. The benefits from maintaining a journal are enormous.

1. You will start to experience a variety of emotions when you start the process to stop smoking. Journaling can lessen the effect of some of these emotions. This may include anger, frustration, anxiousness, and others.

Second, journaling alone can be used as a healthy alternative to the act of smoking. When you would normally be smoking a cigarette, you can instead take a few minutes to write some thoughts or ideas into your journal.

3. Keeping a journal will show your successes and shortcomings. You can compare the two and concentrate on your weak moments. Journaling will track the whole process to stop smoking and help you stay away from lighting up

At the finish, you will realize the benefits of journaling are enormous and you will be very happy that you added a journal to your toolbox at the start of your stop smoking program and process

A hypnosis course is often billed as fun, informative, and potentially life-changing. And you know what? It’s true! Now who wouldn’t want to attend a hypnosis course in light of that? Seriously, in this day and age, where worry and daily frustrations bombard us with unrelenting ferocity, wouldn’t it be nice to just retreat to a gathering like a hypnosis course where we can have nothing but some fun and excitement for a change?

The Hypnosis Course is a Serious Matter

Frankly, we are not talking here about a comedian matter of hypnosis courses, but we are seriously, preferring that straight one as a way of changing.

The basic aim of this course is to coach you how to hypnotize. In fact, the courses of hypnosis are different. You can select either, learn online, attend small groups or take a private lesson.

Reasons of Taking up a Course of Hypnosis

The reasons of attending hypnosis courses are many. Some of them are the aim of mastering others, and controlling their behaviors as well. It will be excellent if you wish to learn it to assist others to overcome their problems. Learning it is not a matter of comedian act at all. Respect of peoples’ minds and thoughts must be the utmost aim for not getting opposes of others.

But if all you want is to control people’s thoughts, to manipulate them for your own scheming ends, then you are on the wrong path my friend. You have no business taking part in a hypnosis course of any kind.

Hypnosis, of course, is a serious matter. If you wish to learn it, you have to endure the responsibility of treating humanity. You have to find a meaning in life and assist others overcome their messes, suffering, and problems as well. On the other way, trying to conquer others’ mind and move them according to your desire to make a funny of them will be unethical issue!

On the other hand, if your aim is to assist them to find an outgoing of their problems, you have to attend the hypnosis course. You will get a glorious future in practicing hypnosis as well. Your study of it will be translated into a way of teaching others how to get ride their messes in life.

Remember, the goal of hypnosis is to help people, to provide them with a way to deal with pain and problems. Do not stray from that path. You will only perpetuate pain in the lives of others, as well as your own.
